I-580 Springtown Sound Wall

The Alameda County Congestion Management Agency (ACCMA), in cooperation with Caltrans, is sponsoring the construction of two eastbound Express Lanes on I-580 from Hacienda to the Greenville Road interchange in Livermore, within the existing Caltrans right-of-way. As mitigation for the Express Lanes project, a sound wall has been constructed on the north side of I-580 between Vasco Road and Springtown Boulevard. This early sound wall project will also serve to reduce the noise associated with the construction of the I-580 Eastbound Express Lanes Project, which began construction in Summer 2008.
